Allie is an Occupational Therapist. She is registered with the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT), and licensed by the State of Minnesota. Allie also holds the national credentials of Certified Case Manager (CCM) and Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS). These certifications are acquired by passing written exams that are based on scientific research. These certifications are maintained with continuing education that meets the criteria set by the certifying organizations, as well as by providing services according to strict standards of practice.

Since 1982, Allie has helped adults of all ages to achieve, restore or maintain satisfying qualities of life when they've faced changes in their health and abilities. She founded Vital Link Consulting in 1987, and since then has worked with people in the "real worlds" of their homes, jobs and communities to help them find ways to continue to do the variety of activities - and fulfill the responsibilities - of daily life while recovering from an injury or illness, as well as adapting to changes that often come with the aging process. When illness, injury or the process of aging has resulted in permanent limiting changes to a person's abilities, Allie has helped him or her develop new ways of doing familiar activities, modify environments at work and at home, and change jobs if necessary.

As a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Allie has specialized training and experience in identifying the subtle effects that even small changes can have on a person's abilities, as well as how to reduce or eliminate those effects on a person's overall quality of life. As a Certified Case Manager (CCM) and Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), Allie has demonstrated knowledge of health, rehabilitation, human service, insurance and public policy systems, as well as skills in assessing needs, identifying and managing resources, and advocating for recipients of services according to high ethical standards.
